Meet the Owner
Hello, I’m Cleachete Goss, the proud owner of I Needed That Comedy Club. I’m originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, and I’m a U.S. Navy veteran. Ever since I was 19, the Lord placed a dream in my heart to become a club owner. Back then, my vision was centered around opening a nightclub filled with parties and drinks, reflecting the life I was living as a Sailor. But life has a way of shifting perspectives.
After leaving the military in 2016, I began to focus on what I truly needed rather than what I merely wanted. By 2020, I had been through two divorces, was raising three children on my own, and found myself going from job to job, eventually facing unemployment. The following year, I lost my mother, followed by my father in 2023, and just two months later, in 2024, the love of my life passed away. These experiences created a major shift in my life, leading me to seek something more meaningful. In the midst of these challenges, I prayed for guidance, and the Lord reminded me of my passion for comedy—a passion that has always lifted my spirit. I realized that despite everything I had been through, I still deserved laughter and joy in my life. My children deserved to see me at my best, no matter how tough life got. That’s when I decided to open, I Needed That Comedy Club, a place where laughter and healing come together.
This club is more than just a venue; it’s a safe space where people can relax, unwind, and reconnect in a positive way. I made a conscious choice not to serve alcohol because I believe true healing doesn’t come from drinking—it comes from finding joy and connection. My goal is to offer you an experience that leaves you saying, "I Needed That," just like I do every day.
